Raindrop is the most complete bookmark manager there is: nested collections, tags, highlights, extensions for every browser, apps for every platform. ceevo is a small, calm alternative for people who found that too much.
If you use nested collections, tags, and highlights every day, stay on Raindrop. It is a good tool. If you opened Raindrop, felt like you were managing a filing cabinet, and stopped saving things, ceevo is built for exactly that moment.
Breadth. Raindrop has been around for over a decade and has a feature for almost every request: duplicate finder, broken-link checker, permanent copies, nested collections, bulk editing. If you need any of those, ceevo will not replace it.
Depth of folders. Raindrop lets collections nest inside collections. ceevo has one level, on purpose. A flat list of ten folders you named yourself is something you open. A tree of forty is something you avoid.
Notes as equals. In ceevo a note is an item in a folder, not a field attached to a bookmark. The idea you had on the train sits next to the article that sparked it.
The public page. Both tools can make a collection public. ceevo treats the page as the point: a readable list under your name, at a short link, that looks like something you would send to a friend rather than a database view.
Raindrop exports to HTML and CSV. ceevo cannot import those files yet. If you decide to switch, the honest path is to bring the folders you actually open and leave the archive in Raindrop, where it is safe.
