Instapaper has been the quiet, dependable read-later app since 2008. If what you want is a beautiful text view of long articles, it is still one of the best. ceevo is for a different habit.
Instapaper is about the reading: text view, highlights, sending to Kindle. ceevo is about the keeping: the link itself, filed in a folder, next to a note, findable later, shareable as a page. Plenty of people want both, and use both.
A read-later app assumes the link is an article and that you will read it soon. Most saved links are not articles. They are tools, products, portfolios, videos, docs, a restaurant, a GitHub repo. A text view does nothing for those, and a reading queue makes them feel like homework.
ceevo does not assume anything about the link. It saves the title and a preview and puts it in the folder you chose. When you open the folder later, the link opens the real page.
Long-form reading on a phone or a Kindle. If your saved links are mostly essays and you actually read them, Instapaper is the better tool and this page should not talk you out of it.
Everything that is not an article, and anything you want to hand to someone else. Make a folder public and it becomes a page at ceevo.me/you/folder-name. No login for the reader, nothing to export, just a link.
